I guess because he homered tonight, Dusty will play him the next 7 to 10 games straight. :(

Aaaah, he's going nowhere until his bobble-head night. Don't want to waste all those promised toys to us children! But then again, the Independance Day series against the Cards should be exciting, and Gomes has a reputation as a fighter, (more than one suspension for fighting), maybe the Reds keep him around long enough to crack some StL heads when the brawl occurs!!

If that's the case, I hope he plays well.

I think that maybe that ball that buzzed his head might have finally been the wake up call he needs. At least a guy can hope...

Good for Jonny Gomes. Hope he hits another hot streak.

I think Tracy Jones found him a huge Slumpbuster!

I think they should just release him now that the mohawk is gone, the only reason I wanted them to keep him around before was because he was entertaining, kind of like a team mascot or something, lol jk.

What is sad is that I do believe Gomes has value to this team, but just not as an everyday LF.

I think Gomes' best value to the team is his off the field persona. He brings a lot of fun and looseness to the clubhouse, which is why his teammates love playing with him. He just needs to get hot. Hopefully last night starts something. Otherwise, I don't know how much longer his fun-loving personality is going to hold up.

Yep, I would definitely cut his playing time but you can't argue with the fact that he goes to war for the other 24 guys on the team and will definitely have their backs
