To be examined by Dr. K. If we lose Bronson then you can kiss this division goodbye unless we can pull off a trade. He's sucked our last few starts but he's the anchor of our rotation and the only constant. Hope it's nothing too serious.

Questions arouse about Arroyos health particularly after the game last evening. I do not believe he is intentionally hiding anything however mono can affect a person in strange ways that might be hindering his performance without him being able to pinpoint why.

they said this spring that it can take 4-5 months to recover and that it drains your strength and such and that is from just common joe, you have to think it really impacts an athlete and his ability to train.

They need to DL him for 15 days, see how he does. During that time either go with Sam or Leake in his spot.

I'm more worried about his inability to hit 90 on his fast ball in his last 3 games pitched.

A couple games back didn't he complain of arm stiffness after throwing, and that he had to use Ice, and he normally doesn't? I am probably mistaken, but I remember reading that about someone.

he's sucked anyway, who cares if we lose him, the season is basically already lost anyway

If your body is in a weaken condition due to say mono, you gotta think that is going to greatly impact his ability to throw that hard.

Hitting 90 didn't seem to be a problem in his first 7 starts?

I think last night the H/H may have been an issue. And as the season goes on and he is not getting the rest and such someone with mono is suppose to get you have to think it's going to cause problems for him.

Lecure is already going to be replacing Volquez in the rotation. So now we're down to Leake who gave up 4 runs in 2 innings at AAA. Willis is injured.

I'd say Maloney gets to start if Arroyo needs time off and Chapman gets called back up if he can have one more outing where he throws strikes in AAA.

To me if it is still the mono then to me they should DL him tell him to go home for those 15 days and do nothing but rest and build back up his strength. During that time I bring up Leake and continue on.
