Stubbs 8, Phillips 4, Votto 3, Rolen 5, Bruce 9, Hernandez 2, Lewis 7, Renteria 6, Wood LHP. vs. Halladay.

Is there at least one hit in that lineup?

Fearless prediction (because there's nothing riding on it):

Wood takes Halladay yard and pitches the first CG for the Reds this year. Final score: Reds 1, Phils 0, dopey Phils fans booing Rolen - 45,000.

Predicting that Phillies fans boo anythything is like predicting Chris Carpenter will throw a tantrum when he pitches. ;)

Per Fay here's the lineup:

Stubbs 8, Phillips 4, Votto 3, Rolen 5, Bruce 9, Hernandez 2, Lewis 7, Renteria 6, Wood LHP. vs. Halladay.
I think that the R-L-R-L-R-L-R between Stubbs and Wood might work-- if it can help keep Halladay from too easily getting into a groove.

We don't sign or trade anyone its all up to the Reds and so far they have holes at both SS and LF to go along with under performing starters.

True. Very true. We don't know what was available and what wasn't. But it sounded like Walt was looking for upgrades at both spots.
