Okay. He k'd. He was 2 for 3 yesterday and the previous 2 games he knocked in runs. Baby steps, but he's been more productive than quite a few others I could point to the past few days. It just seems that some people (not you...just in general) are simply waiting for an opportunity to POUNCE.

If Janish can keep playing the defense he has so far, there's no need to replace him. Jainsh is not the reason why this team is on a big losing steak.

Paul has the 2nd worst OPS in baseball for guys with a minimum of 150 PAs. He obviously isn't the sole reason why the team is struggling, but a few more knocks wouldn't hurt.

His struggles as a starter are baffling.

It has been suggested that Heisey can't hit much besides fastballs. Relievers in general (supposedly) throw a lot more fastballs than starters. So supposedly Heisey would hit better against relievers. I don't know if this is the case but it would be interesting to look at.

If you don't think having a SS who is OPSing .500 is a problem, well, I don't know what to say.

Mets in 86, Reds in 72, Orioles the decade of the 70's, just to name a few teams that did okay with SS with OPS in the .500 range.

It's a defense first position.

Yep. But that being said, I don't think Janish will be a .500 ops bat when it's all said and done this year. I still think he'll get it together and bring it back up closer to .650-.700.

The question is...how much worse is this going to hurt tomorrow?Oh man, I did that, put my ankle on the ground, played some more after doing it. When I woke up the next morning, not thinking, I put my foot down on the floor to get out of bed and went down like I'd been shot. Just a bad sprain though, was better in a week, but it is still weak and easy to twist to this day, and that was nearly 30 years ago.
