What an at bat for Brandon in the 8th to get on in front of Votto with two outs. After watching the replay a dozen times i've come to the conclusion it was a great acting part on behalf of BP, the ball didn't hit him! If he doesn't get that walk the Reds may not come back and win this one..

I only saw it once on their replay and it looked like it got him on the arm on his wristband. Even if it didn't he was the tying run...good play.

Ive watched it a ton, the ball doesn't hit him and he never grabs his wrist which confirms to me he wasn't hit..

I only watched the replay one time, but it loked like the ball hit his wrist guard on the inside (right) wrist.

What then created the sound of the ball hitting something? If it was the bat then it had to be human flesh

The ball hit him in he forearm. Definately hit him. PS You can't fake the noise.

Watch it closely and watch Brandon's mouth. He clearly makes a "ball hitting skin" sound with his mouth to deceive the umpire. ;) :p

Well a "good" homeplate umpire would have checked the ball for skin marks or something...I mean come on...:)

Agree. Watched it again, and he instantly reacts to the pain. If it's something you're trying to fake, (A) there's no sound; and (B) there's a delay in your reaction as you think it through.
