Unclear, for the moment, why Phillips is not starting. He was 0-for-11 in the Milwaukee series and 1-for-15 in the past four games, and maybe Dusty Baker is giving him two straight days off, a la Scott Rolen?

Sorry I haven't posted much in the game threads lately. I can't handle the negativity when the guys are losing so I figured I'd lay low for a while and see how things go. Glad to see Bronson pitch a strong game tonight after two rough ones. Let's get some more runs before it's Coco time! :)

Scott Elbert lhp? Former top prospect of the dodgers and all of baseball who's status has been detailed by injuries..At this point he's a LOOGY in his fourth season who has 31 innings in 38 games under his belt. He's doing pretty well so far this season though.

Well, it doesn't happen often, but I'll take it. Reds win at home...and no dingers were hit by either team. Great seeing a solid outing from Bronson. Bully was nails. Nice to see Rolen remember what that stick he carries is for. Time for a winning streak boys! A nice LONG one.

It wasn't sharp, IMO. He left his changeup up all night and couldn't locate with his fastball. The Dodgers have a truly horrible lineup though.
