Stubbs hits sixth.

Cozart hits eighth.

I hate hitting young hitters eighth, but I think that's what you have to do.

Actually, hit him 9th Friday.

Reds showing their scoring imbalance have ten runs this game.

Phillips walks. Hector out of the game. New pitcher coming in.

Good idea to hit Cozart ninth at Baltimore.

Heisey now 6-24 with 3 homers since he started seeing "extended playing times."

The hits keep coming for the red hot Reds.

Now Stubbs up. Ball, strike, ball, force play.

Classic case of the Reds tacking on runs when it doesnt matter. Hence the lofty offensive numbers. How about some of this in those 2-1 games?

I was being sarcastic.

Votto up and hits an excuse me grounder to third. Ninth inning coming.

Heisey with HR #3That dude's pretty good as a starter. ;)

He is really seeing the ball well. You can tell on the pitches he doesn't swing at...they're pitches that normally fool him but he picks it up before he even has to check his swing.

Thank God they are breaking out against the vaunted Gordon and Noesi duo. This weekend should be more of the same, doesn't look like there is much in the way of top arms being thrown at them.

However, ESPN says Hellickson and Price on Monday and Tuesday. These guys will need to earn their paychecks. Hopefully the lineup shows up in those games.

It's not like the Jays were throwing Cy Young this weekend.

Sarcasm?

As usual it's either 2 runs or 9 or 10 runs once a week. We've seen this before.

More guys need to have big nights, more often, like Heisey has tonight (of course not to this extent, not needed).

Can only hope the boom-or-bust stuff stops in the second half for the most part, somehow.

Heisey deserves much credit for getting the Reds out of the worst hitting slump in a long while.

Wonder who pitches with the 8 run lead.

It's still Masset.

Martin the catcher up. Masset falls behind 2-0. Martin takes a strike.
Fly out to Bruce.

"Should" meaning that a plus hitting team "should" be smacking guys like these around the field. The lineup needed to get a game like this under their belts. But Mon/Tues will be a nice test for them. They beat up Lincecum, it will be nice to see them hit some good pitching.

Then again, they'll probably put a 5 spot up this weekend, combined.

Robinson Cano up. Yanks with impressive lineup. Cueto gets much credit for shutting them down tonight.

Cano singles to center. Hard ground ball.

Billy Hamilton of the .233 batting average and .621 OPS variety.

O'Neill singing the praises of Masset's stuff, wonders why he gives up hits.

Former Red, Chris Dickerson, coming up. Strike call. Pop foul. Ball outside.

WOOOOT!!!! :jump:

I know it's only one win in the series but seeing Cueto mow down the Yankees all night was REALLY fun. :D

Time to get some more wins in Baltimore! As much as I love the O's, this could be a good series for the Reds with their pitching issues over there. :)

Heisey acquired 12 bases and still left 2 runners on..... This is very frustrating.
