Why doesn't Cincinatti have an old timers game??? The Yankees just played one and I think the Dodgers or Giants had one also......just wondering...

I think they did that once toward the end of the Riverfront era. Not sure if it's happened since then, though.

That would be an awesome idea, do it as a fund raiser even. UNC used to do an old timers basketball game; tickets were cheap, had an auto session before (extra ticket sold for that), this raised a lot of money for charity, the fans had good time.

I remember when the Reds used to have an annual father-son game. And didn't the Reds used to have an old-timers softball game as well? Here is what I was thinking about.

I for one would love to see Foster and Bench against guys like Sabo and Davis....maybe play a 70's/80's squad against the 1990 squad....that would be great. Wonder if Selig would allow Rose to play????

I am not sure if the Reds even have a grasp on how to pay tribute to their history.

It is incredible, but that is about it. This year was the 50th Anniversity of the 61 team and while they did something, nothing like it should have been. With a history like the Reds have I would like to see more respect paid to those guys.
