I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard on the radio that they were wearing throwback Negro League unis, but now that I've seen them I really like them!

It's pretty close to what the road uniform is now. The socks make the difference. The only changes I would make would be I would keep the number on the front of the jersey (like the current road uni has), and I would prefer the all-red cap (home cap) instead of the all-black cap or the current road cap.

Cueto is entitled to give up a few runs here and there. He's not Cy Young. It's his colleagues on the starting staff who give up too many too often.

I didn't hear. What did he say?He said since Ramon is seeing the ball better than anyone on the team at the moment he'd like to move Monie up in the order where he'd get more RBI opportunities, but then he'd be messing with the middle of the order since Monie doesn't play every day. :confused:

I do not want to move Ramon up beacuse it will force me to disrupt the middle of the lineup. I mean.....how inane can you sound, when you say that you cannot just move Rolen down 2 notches for the games Ramon starts.

He really makes you wonder if he is just being lazy or if he really thunks this way or he is just messing with your head.

I think if he wanted to Johnny could have more strikeouts. But that would probably mean more BBs and more 5-inning starts.

He could use a SO every now and then.....that's his only problem this year. I love the pitch efficient mode...but with the pitcher up....Blow it by him...since you have not been over exerting yourself or back him off the plate so he cannot squeeze.

Rolen starts off 1-2 and then battles through a couple pitches (a homer down the line about ten feet foul) and then swings through one. Nice AB...at least it wasn't a DP.

There is something to that way of thinking, though I don't agree with it in this case. I would also prefer Hernandez to be higher in the order. But ballplayers are creatures of habit, and they usually settle into one or two spots in the order in which they feel most comfortable. (For me, it was hitting 2nd, then as I got older 3rd or 5th. I never liked hitting 4th.)

Lewis AB was good until that last pitch. Don't know what a young rookie ump would have done with that 3-2 pitch....but if he does move his bat....I think it would have been called a ball.

I would hope that Rolen is veteran enough to handle the move.

2 quick outs and Rolen is an AS now. Talk about lack of 3B candidates.

Should have got more runs on Marcum earlier. This has all the makings of a 4-3 final.Our bullpen could probably win this one if our closer was unavailable. As it stands, I wouldn't be confident of a win unless we go into the ninth with a 10 run lead. :(

I can see that the 1st 2 strikes....but then he has to start doing or learning to do what he never does, protect the plate.

He kind of stumbled a little at the end when Hart went down.He stepped on Harts foot and rolled his left ankle. That's his pushoff foot not his landing foot, so hopefully he's ok to pitch.

Welsh already mentioned that Nyjer "Will get his" early in the game....after what happened yesterday..... maybe not today but sometime soon.... of course I now wish they could have gotten him in the 1st.

10th best record in the NL, 17th in the ML.
