Not a long-time listener (not in the area) so I'm not used to everything.

But I have noticed at the end of the 6th inning, the PBP guys says "we go to the 7th, and the return of The Cowboy, Jeff Brantley".

But I could swear at that point I've already been listening to Brantley as the color guy...is this just an announcement that he is moving from color to PBP? Or is it something else? I'm confused.

They switch off doing PBP during the game. He provides color commentary on most innings that he's not doing PBP.

The 3rd, 4th, 7th, 10th innings are called by the analyst. To give Marty a break, usually.
