Losing all four home games to the Metropolitans hurt bigtime, Dude. Losing 6 of their first 8 games in August against sub-.500 competition was the icing on the cake.

Off season when management failed to make this team better and the Brewers and Cardinals did.

That damn fat began warming up in mid-April, got louder in May, was singing opera in June when the Reds couldn't win back to back games to save their lives, then she went over the top before the break with the Cardinals and Brewers series.

The Mets series was her encore.

Now she say "Thank you, I'll be here all year!"

One word decribes this season...misery, and in football season Bengals fans are going to be ready for opening day next year...serves the damn Bengal fans right though, especially after the killer year the Reds had last year and all summer people in Cincy were only talking about was when the football season begins.

Decribes it in a nutshell.

I pretty much felt like they didn't have anything going all season.

But in late July they got swept by the Mets, then followed it with a sweep of the Giants (which gave me hope), then lost 2 of 3 to Houston, and 2 of 3 to the Cubs, and that was pretty much the nails in the coffin for me. They are currently 6-8 in August.

This team is lacking something big time.

I think a managerial change would do wonders for next season. And if ownership and the GM REALLY BELIEVE that this team has enough talent to win. Then there is no excuse for bringing Dusty back. Seriously.

It was the 4 game sweep at home against the Mets, dudes. I said it then and I shall reiterate it now. That killed the season.

The end of our season started in Milwaukee and we were done after the 4 game series with the NYM.

The Brewers series right before the All Star break. We should have swept that series. Coco blew a couple games. I think that really deflated this team. Things seemed to be going well at that point, after that series and the break the wheels fell off, and I believe those blown saves did them in.

When we traded Gomes who was our MVP. (only kidding) :)

I agree the Mets series was when I pretty much accepted the fact it's over for this season.

Losing four at home to the very average, at best, Mets.
This year did not fall into place. Injuries from the beginning. Janish not being able to hit. A rotation that had as many downs as ups.

that was the game that the heart of the order could not have enough patience or discipline to work a walk from infielder Wilson Valdez, after all Dusty always says swing at the first pitch because it may be big time or huge
