Interesting lineup. I have no complaints. It is probably a good time to get Frazier a day off. He has been scuffling offensively.

I'd rather see Frazier out there every game, kind of sink-or-swim style, but I can see the other side. I agree though that this looks like a reasonable lineup, given what's available.

A lefty on the hill for the Nats.

That's the kind of at bat by Bruce that upsets people.

It doesn't mean he stinks but to fan with them loaded there is unfortunate.

Hopefully next year he will more consistently hit the fly ball in that spot.

You probably wanted to say more than just "unfortunate"?

Is this guy that overpowering or one of those guys who throws just out of the strike zone and with this bunch of hitters.....that have been taught to be aggressive, unable to distinguish pitches that are not strikes, they are just close enough to hit?

Nothing doing for either team in the fifth. Detwiler is a Rottweiler, but so far, Cueto is dealing and outdueling the Nat starter.

Reds batters fail again to pad the cushion. Still 1-0 going into the bottom of the sixth. Detwiler probably spent with 100+ pitches. Cueto at an economical 67 pitches.

What has happened to Janish defensively? He's still got his range, but man does he seem error prone. He's up to 10 errors on the season now. He had 3 in the same number of innings in 2009.

Yeah, I'm not a big "error" guy, but using Nates WoTV system, Janish has flubbed plays way too much for me this year.

I know the BABIP argument, but I think it is getting harder to say Cueto's low BABIP this season is luck. Last night, a ball was centered twice, by the same hitter. His late movement is just making it very difficult for hitters to center him. I think that is creating the low numbers moreso than just writing it off to "luck."
