Willis is scratched again from tonight's start with Wood taking his place.

I also would not be surprised if this game ends up getting rained out.

Reds lineup:

Phillips 4
Renteria 6
Votto 3
Bruce 9
Heisey 7
Stubbs 8
Frazier 5
Hernandez 2
Wood 1

Alonso shut down for the season, at least in the field. Messed up his ankle and has been playing on it for 6 weeks. :(

If he can somehow get past Lee May he will really be in some good company. (Not that he's in bad shape now ;))

Final score: Astros 3, Reds 2.

The Reds go out 1-2-3 in the 9th. Heisey pops out, Stubbs Ks, and Francisco Ks.

Reds with 2 hits on Saturday, 2 hits Sunday, and 4 hits tonight. Eight hits in the last three games, scoring a total of four runs. Pathetic.

Reds look flat and bored and boring. Hitters not running hard, missed third strikes and the batters just stand there. They don't look like they care beyond their stats. Eleven Ks tonight between Happ and Melancon.

AT this point it really doesn't matter I guess, but Ondursek and Masset need to be moved before next year. Either they are worn out or hurt. You can count on 2-3 runs when they come in. And with 8 hits in three games, you aren't going to beat anyone, even a club that's lost 100 games. I say bench them all and play the kids who are hungry. And leave Logan and Nick on the bullpen bench. Of course, it's like locking the barn after the horses are already gone...

Right now no one looks hungry at all. Waif runway models look more hungry than this whole team.

Phillips is still playing well. And the young guys are out there with a purpose.

By the looks of this thread, the fans feel the same way. I don't think I've ever seen a one page regular season game thread until recently
