Who else wants this guy as our lefty bat over Willie Harris?

I am only half joking.

Big fan of D. Willis. Love to see him swing the lumber.

And with the way Bray has been pitching...I'd like to see him back.

I'd love to have him over Harris from a bat only perspective. I'm dead serious. From what I've seen of Harris this year, D-Train is a better hitter.*

*Obviously, that's only based on this year...which is a bad sample for Harris.

I guess the ball club isn't too impressed with Chris Valaika as a 2nd baseman. He's in Louisville right now. I think we are all relieved that Phillips has been extended.

If we're going down that road I'll take Micah Owing's bat any day of the week. He could take over for Alfredo Smith tomorrow.

Looks like the D-Train has come to the end of the tracks...

Orioles are confirming he has retired.

i bet he would swing the bat off the bench better than in lefty the Reds have had there this season.. oh well.

I'm pretty sure this old lefty can too.

I wish his career hadn't gone south on him. When he was tearing it up with the Marlins he was near the top of my favorite non-Reds list.

I feel the same way. I loved watching him play last year, it is very sad he walked away from the job in Baltimore. He had a lot more to offer to the game.

He was entertaining, even if he stayed in the minors for the rest of his career, people would have enjoyed watching him. He played with heart. Someone like that will always will have something to offer to the game on some level. When I said 'the game' I was referring to baseball in general, not the highest level of baseball.
