Who will hit the first Home Run at the Great American Ballpark?
My uncle (who will accompany me at opening day) thinks Pokey Reese will be the guy, just to make us all sick.
My fatalist side tends to agree with him....But Griffey in the first inning would be very nice. I'm officially going with him, but maybe not in the first.
Any predictions?

I'm putting my money on Barry Larkin...a storybook beginning to a storybook season.

I'd say Casey - to keep the streak going since he "baptized" Miller and PNC Park with first hits.

Juan Castro. Bottom of 15th inning first game. Castro will come in for Barry Larkin in the 5th inning when the game is 3-0 Reds and Bob Boone thinks it's time for a defensive replacement.

My therapist said I almost had those memories erased from last year, thanks a lot!
I'll go with Griff's 2nd AB.

The first Reds' homerun will be Brandon Larson, but I fear the first overall homerun will be Brian Giles.
Non Red: Reggie Sanders.
The Red: Ken Griffey Jr.

This is a fun question.
First HR at Riverfront was from the opposition- Hank Aaron? I think it will be Brian Giles at GAB.
I'm with savafan, Larkin, first pitch, place goes wild.

Tommy Helms... no wait - Pete Rose, after a surprise last minute reinstatement, and then immediate hire to become player manager.
Promise me one thing, those of you lucky enough to have tickets for the opener... if Larkin really does nail it in the game's first at bat, go nuts. Don't stop screaming until the 9th inning. 'Cuz that would be very special.
