Angels cut him loose. Should the Reds have any interest in him. Would be a great guy off the bench and the bench is horrible right now. Do we really need Willie Harris, with Cairo coming back along with Frazeir and Valdez

As a replacement for Harris, absolutely. But Abreu wasn't pleased with his limited role in LA, so I don't know how pleased he'd be with a strict bench role. He's a brick in the outfield and his power has evaporated, but he can still get on base well enough. Not the answer in LF though, and not an upgrade of Heiswick.

The only way that signing would make sense is if Votto has a season ending injury. Outside of DH or 1B, Abreu isn't going to help. If he wants regular playing time, he's going to have to stay in the AL.

Being released might tweak that attitude, not having a job changes your way of thinking

I would take Steaming Willy Tavareas over Bobby. I hate watching guys jog around the bases.....I also hate watching guys jog to first on ground outs....you only get around 4 at bats a night, hustling to first is not going to break your body down so there is no excuse for not running as hard as you can to first on a ground out.

Ill pass on Abreu..He's no more than a DH at this point in his career

I'd be okay with him a stricktly a pinch hitter, but I'm not sure he'd agree to that.

Abreu is done at this point IMO he is pretty much a DH at this point and i think that Vlad would be a better sign to play left.
