The curse of George Grande must end!Dittos from my place. Why do they bring him back? Of course, I also have to ask why they hired Jim Kelch. His voice drones on my ears. Or why did they...aww forget it :)

May be a while before we get to hear George go on about moms and friends and family and Ponderosa's (always a side-splitter when he mentions that) and watch the Reds' try and score more than 1-3 runs against a good team.

Steady rain for a few hours now and a slow moving system still stretching over into Indiana.

I'm still here in the "burbs" waiting out the weather... hate to pay for parking and then be a rain-out. Have my club season ticket with the free food - but with the weather it will be so crowded. Decisions, decisions... :(

The latest update is the umpires are supposed to meet at 3 to try to come to a decision. One reason they will wait a long time for this one is this is the Nationals only trip in this year.

On the "future" radar on weather.com, it has rain going to at least 7:30pm... coming up from the SW. Hmmm... I might just sit this one out and turn in my season ticket for another game (if this game will be played).

Its 2 weeks. Stubbs can play. If he gets hurt, Heisey can catch a flight.

But you can play Constanzo at 3rd and Frazier in LF without sending Heisey down.

No offense to Costanzo, but I'm not ready to give him any job based on one pitch. Lol

Besides, he needed to pull the ball there. A decent AB for a first MLB AB, but not one to get excited about.

I was simply responding to the plan that suggested we need to send Heisey down to play Constanzo and Frazier full time.

And Constanzo needed to hit a ground ball towards the right side of the field in that situation. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, and no outs, his job is to get the runner on 2nd to third.

You may be right about Costanzo, but LF is by far Frazier's best position and the only one I've seen him play where I'd be comfortable with him every day.

This team needs another bat that can hit RHP. Costanzo is the best bet on the roster. If Heisey gets going he may help, but he's not going to get going with this Crazy platoon of 2 RH Hitters. Two weeks in AAA to get his stroke and then back to LF every day in the big leagues for an extended audition. Ludwick may be the odd man out.

We may not have seen it in Cincy, but Todd is a VERY solid 3rd baseman. It was Francisco's inability to move elsewhere that caused Todd to get moved everywhere.

I didn't know we were discussing players who are below average defensively. Is Frazier going to be below average defensively in LF? I simply don't know that. Will the CF we should make it our first priority to acquire also be below average defensively? Again, I'm not sure how anyone knows that.

In 2008 he had a .722 OPS, and has been in the .600's (and generally the low .600's) since that time.

Sure he just got a ground ball single bewteen the infielders, but he certainly shouldn't be getting regular AB's any time soon.

So far, the Reds have scored 7 runs in 25 innings. In this series that has gone 3-7, 1-2, and now 3-5, the opposition has scored twice as many runs and nearly twice as many hits (31-19).
