The Reds are 2-5 against the Washington Nationals. The Nationals starting pitching staff has 4 of the top 17 WHIPs in all of baseball, and 5 of the top 31.
Read into that whatever you will.
This does seem to be a strong year for pitching in MLB, though, which leads me to think that the Reds adding another bat is going to be really important if they want to make the playoffs or do anything once they get there.
In a short series where you only run out your best pitchers, you can pitch around Votto and most likely Bruce, too.
If that's the case, would anybody else like to see that move made now rather than later? I've never cared for the Ludwick signing, so I have no qualms about giving up on him already. In the meantime, I just have to keep crossing my fingers and hoping he proves me wrong.
