More seriously, is Dusty trying to fend off the TLR express by putting speed at 9th?

Who cares about the speed guys? Put guys who can hit up top. If Stubbs and Hanigan were flip-flopped, this wouldn't be a bad line-up. Of course, I'd have Mesoraco in there instead of Ludwick.

You seldom use a catcher as a DH unless you carry 3 of them. If you need your backup to play the field, you lose the DH.

Cozart's trouble started when he was moved out of batting 2nd.

Cozart batting 1st .165 AVG OPS .503

I don't mind the call. It's a good way to get a cheap hit and (at the least) move the runner if you get the right pitch - especially with the way the team has been hitting today. Hanigan is the perfect guy to hit and run with....just so happens that the pitch was a foot off the plate.

Nice play. Somehow I never believe that Heisey is actually going to catch the ball. He seems to be running with the intent of picking it up on the carom, then suddenly he has it in his glove.

I always remember the Yankees announcers being fair to opponents. It was Keith Hernandez with the Mets who had no problem putting the Reds down and saying things like "and that's why they're in last place" that used to annoy me.
