Since May 15th the Cards have had to place on the DL Jay, Craig, McClellan, Berkman and Matt Carpenter. That is 4 important hitters and 5 in just 8 days...and yet we can't catch them...

We've gone 7-3 over our last 10 while they've gone 4-6. Now we're only a half game back. We are catching them.

We've gone from 3½ back to a ½ game back over the past week and a half or so. I'd say we're catching them. Our schedule gets easier, while their schedule gets more difficult. It seems to me like everything is swinging in our direction.

What a ridiculous thread....since May 15th we are 5-2. You arent going to make up 5 games in a 8 day span very often. We are winning they are losing and we have closed a 3.5 game gap to .5.

Quit making stupid threads.

If you don't like the topic then don't read/comment. But the fact is given all the health issues the Cards have had, they still hold the lead in the division, meanwhile the Reds have been pretty healthy in all key areas.

The Cards have been beating up on teams with losing records. Now that they are playing some teams with winning records they are starting to lose....yeah they are also getting hurt now but for a month they played only one team with a winning record and that was us.

So no one should call you out when you are wrong?

You are talking about an 8 day span and we were 3 back going into it! No matter how good you are its tough to make up that ground in 8 days and we have made up most of it.

How do the cards injuries mean we should be playing better then 5-2 ball?

Look at our schedule in June. If we play up to par we'll be ahead entering July.

I demand to know why the Reds have failed to catch the Cardinals during the current homestand! Fire Dusty!

And complain about getting called out. You forgot that important part of the equation.

Logged in just to agree with everyone else. Dumb thread. How you can even sit there and complain about anything that happened in the last week is hilarious.

How have we not leapfrogged them? Because they've won every game since we pulled within .5 games. So have we. Find something real to complain about.

I don't care what team your on, making up more than 2-3 games in an 8 day stretch is tough to do....I love brm as a poster, I like to see a different point of view and brm is usually on the other end of the spectrum.....but I like it. With that said, complaining about making up 3 games in an 8 day run is like complaining about taxes when you win the lottery.

I agree. Because the Cardinals keep winning, we should all get our pitchforks and torches and head to the clubhouse for Dusty's head!
