Homer started to get his fastball up in the zone. He looked like he was coasting a bit too much when he pitched to Delgado and Bourn. If he gets that pitch down just a little to Bourn, it's not a homer.

Gotta take advantage when the opponent is banged up. That's what the Reds did. A good sweep and now it's time to take care of the poor to mediocre teams that are next. If the Reds can take of these teams in the next 12 games the might actually put just a little distance between themselves and the Cards.

Could the Reds bullpen so far this year be anymore proof that the ninth inning isn't the same as every other inning and that not everyone can close?Ondrusek gave up a run the other night not pitching in the 9th inning. He didn't have his curveball last night. I think the Reds are highlighting why, if you are going to rely on one guy, he better be very, very consistent. If you don't have that one guy, then bring in the best available arm based on the situation and have another guy ready. Sometimes lessons are learned out of necessity, and hopefully Dusty learns that this year.

BTW, Ondrusek did not have good stuff last night, but Juan Francisco is the gift that just keeps on giving and got himself out. Great job covering 1st by the big guy to not give an extra out. That is one of the tougher DPs to pull off.
