Votto's long awaited day off for the season. Can Constanzo Wally Pipp him? ;)

Cueto is probably saying "Why me?"

Hanigan still can't get out of the 8 hole. Even with someone who is 1 for 13 hitting ahead of him.

Costanzo is going to have a big game

I was at the Saturday game in Yankee Stadium when he got his only hit - an opposite field single to left-center.. Who knows, if he gets sent down without ever collecting another hit, I will have seen his one moment of glory.

Not exactly Moonlight Graham, but there can't be that many players in the history of the game with just one career hit.

Not exactly a lineup of Grizzled vets. It is amazing at times how young a lineup the Reds are sending out there.

That's somebody I would've LOVED to have seen pitch. Koufax that is.

Never saw him either, as I was 4 when he retired, but I could not stand the Dodgers, as they were in my memory the Reds big rival. My brother loved the Dodgers just to piss me off. Those were some classic battles for the division.

Yeah, I started watching baseball & my Reds around '74 or so. So I was pretty spoiled early on. But the hatred for Dodger blue still runs deep.

Nice story and seems like a nice guy, but if Mike Costanzo is in your bench, you are in trouble. Add in Valdez and your options are limited.

And I hate to beat up on that guy. He didn't even go after that 5 hopper that Votto fields on Jones. And he runs hard to first but watching the ball in the 2nd and out by half a step. Hope he shows something or this might be his only cup of coffee.
