I would suppose so, Ludwick gets the starts against lefties in the Dusty playbook.

Watching on Extra Innings with Stros announcers. It took them five minutes to figure out that if the Reds got some high on base guys to hit in front of Votto the team would really take off.

Not as bad tonight because Cozart and Stubbs do better against LHP. Against righties, it's pretty hard to defend.

Apparently I tuned into the game three decades early.

The problem with turn back the clock jerseys from the 70's is that they were polyester and meant ro be worn like a seventies leisure suit, very tight. But players today wear them loose, and it looks like kids wearing their big brother's hand me down jersey's.

Watching Leake pitch is not fun. Pitches all over the place. Got to see his gem last Saturday. Top of the 3rd the game was at 2 hours. With a 6 and 2 year old in the 93 degree heat. Not a fan.

Leake gets out of it, but I have to say he looks very shaky out there.

Mike cannot keep falling behind the hitters. He doesn't have the stuff to pitch from behind in the count.

Hopefully he'll get it going next inning.

Thom the genius forgets that a 325 batting average means that Votto gets out 67.5% of the time (not counting walks)

Johan over 120 pitches after eight. He walked a guy that inning. He also hit a guy on the hand, but the ump saw it differently.

Apparently in this game in the sixth, Beltran hit one down the line called foul, might have hit the foul line.

Johan is usually capped at 110 pitches coming off surgery. Not tonight.

Yes. Kent Mercker was one of 4 pitchers who threw one. Babe Ruth had one too; walked 1st batter, argued with ump, got tossed & his reliever was perfect after that.

Santana is a Hall of Fame caliber pitcher. He is truly superb. Obviously his career got derailed a bit by the major injury, but he is a great one.

Surprisingly its been a couple days since he's been involved or implicated in anything. Im just sayin someone needs to keep an eye on him. Things just seem fishy with everything going on. With the way hes pitching he needs to stay on the straight and narrow

Actually, that's wasn't really that big of a knock on Costanzo. Leake is a better hitter than most everyone on our bench.

Very true. I should have made that exception. Costanzo hasn't shown anything worthy of being a regular pinch-hitter yet.
