So far, his tenure with the Reds has been a disappointment.

Every game isn't going to be well pitched. Latos has had some bad ones, so have the others. It's a long season.

To me, the key is managing games like this to win. So if Latos continues to struggle just get him out of there promptly. Reds have a good bullpen, this is the kind of game to use it.

No attempts to save the pen here by letting Latos continue to pitch if he doesn't get right, quick.

Disappointing season so far. Never seems to do well with run support.

Not seeing the hype with this guy. Haven't seen anything yet that would justify the trade made for him.

Really no reason to judge the Latos trade this soon. He obviously has a great arm, he's been disappointing, it's only June 2.

The important thing is for the bullpen to bail him out.

Even when Latos pitches a decent game, he still needs 100 pitches to get through five innings. In what league will that work?

Where is Latos velocity? I thought he threw 95+ and he rarely seems to hit it? And his complimentary pitches never seem to work.

This has the makings of one of the worst trades in Reds history the way this guy continues to pitch. I also expected him to be more of an innings eater, and he seems to never make it much past the 5th or 6th inning. Extremely disappointing.

Hoover wasn't a great choice for this spot. He is a fly ball pitcher, pretty extreme. Came in with two men on base, not much chance of the ground ball.

Still, the game is early, the Reds have a good chance.

One of these Reds pitchers will have to stop the bleeding soon. Not sure JJ is the one.

Everytime Dusty "rests" a starter, the Reds seem to lose.

He subbed in Cairo and Valdez last week against the Pirates and we lost. Then Joey took the night off 2 days later and we lost.
Bruce sits tonight and we're gonna lose it looks like.

Please. Heisey is a good defensive outfielder. He has an RBI hit tonight. This isn't his fault.

The problem isn't resting a player. The problem is Latos and Hoover didn't have it and couldn't hold a big early lead.
