Sunday Special, with two wins under the belt on a Sunday, Dusty gives some back ups a chance.

Only question is why do this when Reds seem to have the pitching advantage, why not go full tilt.

But it's ok, Cairo and Harris are pros, Reds can win with them.

C. Young p

Hopefully the Reds are sufficiently patient with Young because if not, I could see him going deep into the game.

I'm sure his theory is Cueto will shut them down. So if Votto or Bruce hit solo HR's we should be able to win 1-0. :dunno:

If Negron goes down for Rolen, that's the easy part.

Harder decision is when Stubbs comes off the DL. With Rolen and Stubbs back, the Reds position player roster would be at full strength.

Out of spring training Frazier went down. That won't happen. So I guess Willie Harris is likely to go to AAA again if the others are all on the active roster.

Today has been funny... the last month he has been scorching the ball around.

Today, I would say he has been fortunate to find the holes. Still amazing how a guy can get on base 4 times in a game without looking like he is really firing on all cylinders.

Oh no question it takes some luck for all these balls to go through. His bat control is so exceptional, though, he can guide the ball better than most hitters which is why I think he'll continue to support an unbelievable BABIP. It might not be *this* high, but I think it will be higher than most guys we've seen.

Great sweep for the Reds. The Mets were coming in off a road sweep of Tampa, and here in NY, all was well in Metsland. Let's just say that fans were expecting a slightly different outcome.

That series was all about the pitching. The Mets were blistering the ball in Tampa, and scored a mere 5 runs this weekend. Went from tied as of last Monday to picking up 4 games.

It's tough being away from home. No radio and no FSO. Have to depend on the old iPhone and hope for the best. Have to be polite at the in-laws and not check too often. I couldn't do it. On the way home, I plugged into the power point and listened to today's game. In a Prius (pray for me). Great series--two in a row. My only fear, with the Tribe losing 5 of 6, is we might have a rough time in the misake on the lake. We'll see. For now, I'm glad to be back home.

Good win with a bad lineup. You know you are going good when you have both Cairo and Harris in the lineup and still get the win. Also give Valdez a lot of credit. He's been great filling in while Stubbs and Heisey have been out. Couldn't have ask for more from him. Kudos to Marshall for stepping into the closer role today and doing a great job. I was really holding my breathe when Hairston was up. Great job be everyone. Just keep piling up the wins. The Reds have 10 game west coast trip coming up soon. Be nice to be about 5 or more up by then.
