I didn't like his bunt in the 9th inning, but other than that I thought Wilson had a really good series at bat and in the field. Will Drew get his job back? :)

Yes, but I loved Valdez in this series. Proved to me he can do something other than bunt. His play in CF has been solid as well

Drew is fast.....once he's back he'll get 24/25 starts.

Every good team needs a Wilson Valdez on their bench. About as versatile as there is in all of baseball.

Valdez is a better centerfielder than Stubbs.

Wally Pipp had 1283 career at bats for the Reds late in his career. He struck out 50 times.

I did not know that.

Valdez is a better centerfielder than Stubbs.

Sample size equal to Jerry Hairston Jr in CF for the Reds.

There's a misconception that Stubbs is good at defense because he's fast. In reality, he may be the worst CF in baseball. He consistently gets awful jumps on the ball, and is for whatever reason incapable of laying out.

Don't know if I would say worst. His speed makes up for bad jumps on the ball and while I agree he doesn't lay out, I haven't seen many balls I thought he should catch. Bruce however has had multiple balls I felt he should be able to make a play on and he will pull up and let it drop. Also, while baserunners are respecting his arm, the throws Bruce has made this year into home are less than impressive. The most recent being a throw about 8 feet up the third base line where Mesoraco missed the swipe tag in the Sunday night debacle.

My biggest concern with Stubbs is his inability to put the ball into play. Cut down the K's and bring the OBP over .300 please. Right now (even with the lack of a LF'er) I would welcome trade offers that include Stubbs.

Go Reds!
