My wife just asked me 30 minutes ago what Dusty's lineup would be today and I hit it 100%. Rolen at 3B and Ludwick in LF.

Dusty manages nothing by what he (or anybody else) sees. It's all about getting shared playing time and making sure that "his" starters never lose their starting spot.

The way Frazier and Heisey have been playing the last several days, it is borderline asinine to have them not in the lineup today IMO.

Today is a big game for the Reds. You need to have your best current lineup on the field.

Ludwick has been playing well, too. The head scratcher continues to be playing Rolen over Frazier and Stubbs over Hiesey. But hey, Dusty has to play 'his' boys.

A bigger question to me is how is Todd Frazier not batting cleanup and playing every stinkin' game?

I'd like for the Toothpick to rationally explain why Frazier and Heisey shouldn't play today over two of the other three guys listed.

Maybe the Toothpick can, because no other manager alive can.

Can we just stop looking at numbers as we know numbers of the present is not what Dusty goes by when making out his lineup card...

I can answer 1 of them.

Speed trumps everything.

I cannot explain how badly I want Stubbs traded. I don't care if he could jog past Usain Bolt.

As for Frazier....he's getting to the point where he's looking to be the next Cincy Icon....the next Sabo.

Frazier should have the 4th most at bats on this team.

Does absolutely no good if it is not on the base paths though. Stubbs seems to be allergic to first base.

Why not let Rolen rest through the all star break if his back was hurting so bad? We've made it this far without him. Its unbelievable that walt has not stepped in at this point.

I think he may have stepped in. Rolen is Walt's guy. Hopefully it is some sorta last hurrah.

I just wish that Jocketty would invite Scotty out to Arizona to check out his sweet retirement community digs. He might like it enough to stay.

Rolen's last hurrah was his 1-11, 0.091 OPS with 8 Ks in the 2010 NLDS.

If the Reds make the post-season, maybe he'll have another.

Welcome to the dark, musty, and cluttered place that is Dusty's brain.:(

I wish I could go to Superman's "Bizarro World" (remember that place? :))where every person is the exact opposite of their persona in our world. Then I would bring back "Bizarro Dusty" to manage the Reds to a World Series title! :beerme:
