Lotzkar for Quentin straight up would be a win in my book... Lotzkar is a real prospect, but he hasn't been healthy the past few seasons and has Corcino and Cingrani for competition at the same level of play. It's the kind of trade you want to make at the deadline, and it would prop up the offense until Votto returns and let you bat Phillips leadoff afterwards. Stubbs has been brutal in CF, but we do have Heisey, and there are worse players to run out there. Let's upgrade where we can.

I am not a fan at all of acquiring Quentin. He is not much of an improvement on Ludwick, if at all. CF and and the top of the order is the concern.

I would take it. It gives us a time share in LF with Ludwick/Quentin and a time share in CF with Heisey/Stubbs and greatly improves our bench. It seems like Lotzkar is a 2nd tier prospect so the price would be fair.

Even it's basically a wash for the starting LF spot, Ludwick or CQ pinch hitting over guys like Cairo and Valdez sounds great to me.

Not bad- I'd take this over our current one but we need a lineup sans Votto & not assuming we acquire anyone for now for a while so I'd like to see ...

Ive heard reports that the Padres would want more then the supplemental draft pick they would recieve if they held on to Quentin. And I think that this trade would accomplish that for them.

Red Sox shopping Crawford...maybe they are considering rebuilding. If th they are willing to eat most of his salary and give him away cheap he could be exactly what we need if he did in fact just have a down year and could bounce back.
