Well so far this season he has maybe been the best pitcher in the NL, should have had a no-no the other night vs. Cubs. This just means we need games 1 and 2 to avoid losing ground to Pirates..

Whaaaa? (http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=nl&qual=100&type=8&season=2012&month=0&season1=2012&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0)*

* Confusion not meant to be construed as a slight to Burnett who is having a fine year for himself.

it shows how much the Pirates are really taking this series seriously, as both parties should. This weekend is going to be nuts.

That being said, let them move him up. Bailey is also scheduled to start that game too. It'll make for better baseball and hopefully the Buccos will come into a hostile GABP. Hostile may be the wrong word but the crowd will clearly be the 10th man this weekend. That cannot be stated enough. If the Sunday night game against STL was any indication, Homer (and the entire team for that matter) feeds off the crowd. We're also riding good momentum and batting into this series, I like our chances.

I've convinced myself to come up for the game Sunday.

13 wins is 13 wins, WAR aside. He's one of the NL's best. (only 3 losses)

I feel we'll be fine.......Latos has had some good outings lately, and seems to be more comfortable, in his surroundings... Leake and Bailey were both due a 'blowup', but should rebound nicely, as they have proven in the past.

He is like what 12-1 or 12-2? He had one game vs. the Cards where he gave up alot, but outside of that I believe he has given up on average less then 3 runs per outing and going at least on average 7 innings per game.

Who do you see better?

Pirates could do this since they had today off. Thus, moving Burnett up just puts him on his normal schedule.

Wandy?! Wow! Great news for Reds fans. We usually hit him pretty well based on recent history

And in four starts post All Star break, McDonald's ERA is almost 9. (20.2 IP, 20ER)
