Could the confusion he got on the play at the plate effected him to a degree in his confrontation/ejection? Also shouldn't the fact that it appears the umpire said something that really set him off.

This is off topic of brm7675's post, but I read in the Enquirer that this is at least the 3rd concussion Mes has suffered. That's can be scary for his future - not so much as a player at his young age, but down the line.

Did you have more you were going to add, not sure what you are asking?

Devin seemed to be calming down and then went livid and touched the ump...I gotta think the ump said something..

I agree with that, but it contradicts your position yesterday that it doesn't matter, he touched him, you cant do that. I do think the ump played a large role in it, was first to take mask off, was confrontational and aggressive, and that should be considered in Mes' appeal.

It doesn't matter. Umps don't really have any accountability on the field just like every other official in major sports. There's next to no accountability and it's a huge problem. They can pretty much do whatever they want.

I don't think MLB will care, they have this idea that even if the ump shares some blame you don't put your hands on them under any circumstances.

There is accountablity, the fans just never see what it is.

The ump was like a 5 year old when Mes barely touched him, "Mommy! Mommy! he touched me!" What a total WUSS! He baited him no doubt about it.
