It was north of 15 to start the game. He's got it down to 7.88 now. Although he's only pitched 8 innings in the majors.

Cozart has been pretty mature and plays a sound game with somewhat limited hitting ability, but did anyone else think he should have been running harder on that ground ball? The 3rd baseman was a couple of steps into foul territory and didn't have an easy throw there.

1 hoping for 25. That's what I've set my sights on all year. I thought he was never going to get to 25 till the last month or so, now I'm hoping for 30. What a year.

I must confess...I was completely and totally wrong about Ludwick. I thought he was done. Stick a fork in him done. Very happy to be wrong.

Although, I think part of my dislike of getting him was that he was tainted with Cardinal goo on him. I didn't know about his Cincy ties prior to acquiring him. Good example of why I'm not a GM. LOL.

Another thing that really irks me about Cubs fans is that they throw opposing HR balls back... but actually don't. The guy who caught Ludwick's reached down into a bag and threw back another ball he already brought. Completely lame. :thumbdown:

When Votto comes back, I'm convinced that Phillips should go back to leadoff with Ludwick hitting cleanup.

It's really tough when the bottom of the order sets the table and the top of the order leaves them stranded.

Most teams are dangerous when the bottom of the order gets on base and the top comes up with men on.

If this stays a 3 run lead in to the 9th and Cueto can't make it, I'd like to see Chapman get the day off. Anybody in this pen, even Ondrusek, should be able to protect a 3 run lead against lineup. No need to burn Chapman out.

This is the third straight outing for Chapman. I'm ok with it, he had a long rest during the five game losing streak.

I would prefer Cueto finish it. He barely broke into a cold sweat in this game. Hard not to use Chapman though. He will use him until he shows he is getting tired.

I like the Latos-Young matchup...not as much as I don't like the Dickey-Leake matchup.

With the Harvey-Bailey game kinda a toss-up to me the way Bailey's last few outings have been.

Winning 2 of the 3 would be very satisfying, especially with 4 more vs the Cubs next up.
