I'd like to see him do it. I think he'll come up short in Homers though. But he's certainly got a pretty good shot, and I'm a fan.

Trout has slipped a bit in average but Hamilton has been back on.....if Hamilton stays healthy Cabrera won't catch his homers.

Dunn won't finish strong....Edwin, Trout and Hamilton or the barriers.

With Prince Fielder backing him up he has a real good shot at it.

And he'll play every game as they are locked in a tight race.

Cabrera was amazing without Prince...but yes

The funny thing is, he has been in the triple crown race for the past couple years, and never won an MVP. IMO, he's one of the more underrated players, or I guess less talked about, player in the MLB

He's surprisingly spry at 3rd base.

I hope he can find a way to pull it off, may need to watch Joe Mauer making a hard BA push this month.

Josh Hamilton isn't going to get to gain anything back on Cabrera tonight as he had to leave the game with a sinus issue.

When you take into account the ballpark he plays in it really is impressive that he is so close to a triple crown.

On a related note what is the story with the Tigers? They are in the top 4 in both pitching and offense yet have very little chance of making the playoffs. How does that happen?

I hope MC wins the Triple Crown, how exciting it would be to see!!

I can't find myself rooting for someone who is as big a jerk as Cabrera is.

He's tied for HR and leading the others by a bit

Alex Gordon isn't into history.

Not the greatest highlight....but did rob him.

Miguel Cabrera 2-for-3 and just hit #44, if he didn't get that HR taken back last week he would be almost locked in to getting the TC baring someone getting a 4 or 5 hit game chasing him in BA.

He's gonna do it.....if they clinch tonight...if they don't I'll guess he gets nipped in the batting title.

Cabrera up to .328 and the Tigers clinch....he could sit out and win it easily....barring a 2 HR game from Hamilton.

Cabrera

202 hits, 44 HR, 40 doubles, 139 RBI

Lou Gehrig did that twice...Babe Ruth once, that is all.

The Mike Trout WAR club just needs to take their 2nd place.

Trout has had an unreal year becoming the first player in history to post 45 SB, 30 HR and 125 runs or more in a season but if Cabrera gets the TC and makes the playoffs he should be the MVP.

Ironman92

Oh Trout is just silly good with the numbers.

Players just don't hit for the triple crown....and even if he comes up short he should win.
