What? Duh! Sure fire lockdown GG baby!

He is certainly deserving and full of highlights.

But there is one guy who plays on the worst defensive team it seems and on one of the worst defensive infields as agreed by the players.....Darwin Barney

Don't unleash on me yet!!!

Barney, while playing on a bad infield with a bunch of fumble-fingers all around him has exactly 1 error at 2nd base all year. He has 4 fewer errors in 70 more chances and his range factor and zone rating are as good as Phillips. He has the top defensive WAR in the NL. I'm not a big believer in all of these stats.....but he has more than his share of unbelievable highlights, gets to balls most don't get to and makes every routine play. He's also turned about 20 more DP's than Phillips.

He hasn't made an error at 2nd in his last 125 games.

One of these guys is going to not win a gold glove award....and that'll be a shame for either.

So was Ozzie...he won on the highlight reels. BP is deserving.....not quite as much as Barney.

I'm sorry because I know it's an individual award, but when your team loses 100 games or close to it in a season, no GG. Especially IMO when an equally if not better player is on a Division winner.

Anyway, Barney seems to be better according to all the stats. He should get it.

That's ridiculous....80 more chances and 4 fewer errors and matches the range...one of the best defensive seasons ever shouldn't win the best defensive player award?

If Edwin E wins the HR title should it not count because his 2nd baseman plays cruddy defense?
