Who's Your Reds Post-season Hero

Every post-season somebody unheralded steps up and becomes the hero of the post-season - Bernie Carbo, Mark Lemke, Edgar Renteria - are just a few that come to mind over the years.

Who is your pick for the Reds post-season hero this year? Three potential ones for the Reds imo - Xavier Paul, Scott Rolen and Drew Stubbs.

Ludwick or Bruce since teams are going to play it safe with Votto, so one of those guys are going to get it done if we are going to advance.

I'm going with Valdez. He just looks and plays like someone that will get a late-inning pinch-hit seeing-eye single or blooper that falls to win the game.

I'm hoping Cueto/Latos take over like Johnson/Schilling back in the day, along with Votto.

As a surprise type pick Frazier hits me as the type that could have a big postseason, I think just think he seems to always be in the right place at the right time. Saved someone that was choking, hits hr's with no hands on the bat, won the little league world series, etc. lol

To use a cliche - I think we'll go as far as our starting pitching takes us. So I look to Cueto and Latos as the prime candidates for hero status.

But as to the notion of whom may outperform and/or come up with clutch hits in big situations, my money is on Rolen.

I will stick with Marshall. I can see a game where the opponent has the bases loaded late in the game with 1 or 0 outs and Marshall coming in and getting out of it with no runs.

I can also see BP getting a WO HR!

No Mr. Head in the sand (which is a lot better than being called Molina!), Reds fan for over 50 years.
Want them to win it all, but they just might need to hit a bit better. I just don't think it will all of a sudden just happen, especially against very good pitching.

I certainly hope if the Reds are so unfortunate to be no-hit once again in the postseason, that some so-called Reds' fans don't post on here that they wanted the opposing pitcher to get the no-hitter so that they could witness history. That was utterly disgusting. They should have been asked to turn in their man card right then and there. Of course, if you cheer for your team to be no-hit, then you obviously don't have a man card. /RANT

Latos. If this team has a chance we need shutout pitching through 5-6 innings, and Mat is the guy I feel most comfortably can do that.

As far as hitting, they aren't giving Votto anything unless they have to. I expect BP to step it up.
