How will Carpeter explain striking out Drew Stubbs 4 times? I really like Stubbs...really I do, but I'm very frustrated watching him not only swing through pitches but also taking called 3rd strikes...gimme Heisey or move Bruce over and gimme Frasier

P.S. I hope he makes me look like a fool for the next few weeks

Latos has a terrible record against the Cards: Career ERA something like 9+, 11+ in St. Louis. Let's see of he can change that tonight...

I don't want the Cards to clinch tonight....

I guess we know who is going to be the back up catcher for Hannigan in the playoffs.

One could argue that Navarro should start at catcher in the playoffs.

I know it's impossible, won't happen, Hanigan is much better behind the plate.

My theory is that Navarro is maybe the only Red who is hitting and the Reds might need to score a run here and there to win playoff games.

I do think Dusty hates the Cards sufficiently that he wants to beat them rather than watch them celebrate.

But he has a five inning rule for his main starters going into the playoffs. So Latos had to come out.

If the Orioles and Yankees tie for the division there would be a one game playoff in Baltimore Thursday with the winner taking the division and loser headed to the wild card.
