I... don't know. Part of me wants to see the Giants win simply so that at least since the Reds lost, they lost to the best. They're also National League. On the other hand, the Tigers are just a state north and the Giants are in California.

Pulling for Detroit. Side story thought I had tickets to game four but I just found out they fell through.

No idea who will win and for the first time in a long while I could care less and can't wait it could be a great WS. The Giants have momentum and are due to get something out of Posey and Pence but the Tigers have their rotation set and the best position player and pitcher in the series.

WP Matt Cain
LP Justin Verlander

Biggest play of the game, 3-run Triple by Pablo Sandoval with 2 outs off Verlander in the first to make it 4-0.

Who you got?

San Francisco Giants.

The Tigers seem to be a very, how do you put it, over zealous team? I don't know how to describe it, but it seems like the whole show there is run by Verlander, Cabrera, and Fielder. I just feel like the Tigers have this huge inflated ego's primarily by those 3.

It feels less like a team effort to be honest.

With the Giants, there's more players I like. Wilson, Lincecum, Romo. There a fun team, with really fun characters. Plus, there city is gorgeous and is probably deserving of another WS title.

Plus, it lessen the blow from losing to them, knowing they were, "destined" in a way to win it all.

It's tough to pick against the Tigers with the best pitcher in MLB set to throw twice. The Giants aren't set up nearly as well (not at all really) but they are clutch, clutch, clutch. In all honesty, I don't really care who wins but I want to see a good series that goes 7 games. I'm not ready for baseball to end. Gun to my head to choose?...Tigers.

Tigers on this one.

But the Giants have made history to get to this point (and knocked out the Cardinals) so it removes yet another thorn from our painful postseason loss. Both teams are pretty likeable if you ask me, minus Melky's steroid affiliations.

I'm always for the NL but I feel sorry for the city of Detroit... Detroit & Cleveland used to be big manufacturing cities & have been in dire straits for a long time...I like seeing cities like this having something to celebrate...
While I wouldn't want to meet up with the 'Tigers' in a 'buffet line' it would be ok if they win...But as far as liking a team...the Giants by far...

Would love 7 games, I need it & it's great for BB....:D

Tim Lincecum and Barry Zito were not guaranteed any starts or pitching this postseason.....and now look what they've done so far.

A lot to be said for those that don't pout.

The Giants' 8-3 win over the Detroit Tigers set a record low television rating for a World Series opener. Fox said Wednesday night's game received a 7.6 rating and 12 share, and that it was seen by 12.2 million viewers, according to fast national ratings by Nielsen Media Research.

That's cool. I am not a baseball fan. I am a Reds' fan. If the Reds aren't playing I generally don't have much interest to begin with.

Numbers are never good if the Yanks or Sox aren't playing...Just the way it is...I'm really tired of the reporters all yr long touting the American League...And acting surprised when the NL has the best team....& this yr the best teams....The NL rocks this yr!! :notworthy:

I'm a baseball fan....root for the Reds but I really appreciate just about every great thing outside of the Roger Clemens type.

This Giants team has a lot of fire....yet have a lot of fun and are loose. Adjustments are made and panic is just not anywhere to be found....no pouting (look at what Lincecum and Zito have accomplished this postseason)

Romo is awesome.

I've enjoyed the games so far in this WS. I originally didn't care who won and was leaning towards the Tigers but after seeing the Cards fans melting down with every Giants run I want them to win it all. Cards fans saying everything from all the Giants are on steroids is how they came back on them to that their SP are doctoring the ball. So whatever makes them cry more makes me more happy.

I'm actually pulling for the Giants. I like their team chemistry, their fire, and pure talent. Panda hitting 3 homers in game 1 was pretty awesome.

I'm still a little sick over the Red's NLDS loss, but the Giants are just a fun team to watch play ball. They beat us fair and square, and I hope they win it all.

At the beginning of the series I picked Detroit to win it but wasn't really pulling for anyone.

The more I watch the Giants play and see them do all the little things right that I love so much about baseball, (Pagan *always* using two hands, Scutero correctly being in the right spot last night as the 2nd cutoff man, bunts, hit & runs) I'm definitly hoping the close it out now.

Loss of velocity aside he is still flat-out nasty. Postseason MVP in my book, bullpen or not. He's kept the Giants in the close games.

I'd say Barry Zito having as many RBI as Cabrera, Fielder and Young is a bigger factor.

It's also funny how great Gregor Blanco is on defense and plays LF....and has made huge play after huge play.

The NL had the two best teams but the AL was far better than the NL this year overall. That's why the Cardinals got in with 88 wins while the AL had the Rays at 90 wins and Angels at 89 wins in much more difficult divisions miss out since both WC teams had 93 wins or one less than the Giants who won the West by 8 games.

The Tigers got hot late but they aren't that good of a team outside of the big 3 studs they have, when those guys fail you get ran like we've seen these last 3 games. They would have lost in the first round to the A's if Verlander didn't give them two lights out starts in a 5 game series and then they beat a broken down Yanks team who went cold.

The Tigers actually have a lead, amazing. Still, I'll be absolutely astonished if they somehow pull this series out. Beyond astonished. Even if the Giants lose tomorrow, they still have two more at home with a seriously energized crowd.

Sergio Romo when on is borderline unhittable, congrats go out to the Giants as they have been impressive these last 3 years with their aggressiveness in the FO. if Posey doesn't get hurt they could be looking a 3 in a row. Its the 2nd time since 2006 the Tigers got put on ice winning early in the ALCS and could get it back in gear in the WS.

The Tigers are a lot like the Reds...couldn't get hits strung together for runs..could only score with Home Runs. They had a lot of trouble scoring during the season, just like the Reds. Shows you you MUST have more than HR's. Must have more contact by the hitters. Time for Walt to get busy. I'm sure they know what is needed, but will they go out and do it?

The Tigers lead baseball in BA with RISP this year by .010 so they can get big hits just couldn't get it back into gear after having the long layoff. In baseball single off days can kill momentum and they had 5 days off before running into a buzz saw who was pitching hot.

Kudos to the Giants -- even though I still think that better managing in the third game would have improved the odds of taking them out of the playoffs --

I agree. Now i hope when the Reds players see the Giants won, they come to spring training with a different attitude and step up and work to get back and go further.. and Walt fixes the offense issues starting with Stubbs!
