John Sickels Top 120 Prospects
Re: John Sickels Top 120 Prospects
This is by far the best looking list so far IMO
Re: John Sickels Top 120 Prospects
Alonso 28
Grandal 42
Seems to be about the highest I have seen them on any list so far this off-season.
Re: John Sickels Top 120 Prospects
If Alonso can OPS 900 or so, he deserves that ranking.
I believe he'll settle in at 825-850.
If he's at my projection, he's not even in the Top 100 discussion.

Yeah, Grandal and especially Alonso should probably be a little lower (~15 spots or so) but the Reds and a lot of others are ranked much closer to where I would rank them myself. I think it's the most accurate portrayal of any list I've seen this offseason.

If he is an .825-850 guy in Petco, that is like being a .900 guy in Cincinnati.
Adrian Gonzalez had an .849 OPS in 2007 and it was good for a 126 OPS+. In 2007 Joey Votto had a .907 OPS and it was good for a 127 OPS+.
Re: John Sickels Top 120 Prospects
I predict Alonso will more than justify a 28 ranking.
