Wembanyama not receiving a suspension is exactly why people start thinking things are rigged.
I guess Wembanyama is the NBA's new golden child. That tech on Naz Reid was laughable at best.
NBA pretty clearly wants Spurs - Thunder.
As do I
I enjoy Anthony Edwards basketball more than Wemby basketball.
I also think we have 3-4+ rings ahead of us from Wemby, assuming health, and I'm not really racing to get there yet.
Wemby and Chet don't like each other. And the Wolves have no shot at beating the Thunder.
Spurs v Thunder will be a much, much better series.
NBA has officially reached the point of being unwatchable for me. Part of me is actually glad Orlando lost after being up 3-1 on Detroit. No need for any false hope.
Do people really think the non suspension of Wemby means the NBA is fixed? He was tossed from the game, they lost. Wolves were beating him up and have been all series. Obviously Wemby lost his cool and it looked bad, but the flagrant 2 and him missing the game seems like the right call.
In the golden age of the NBA guys would fist fight and not even get tossed from games.
You are basically quoting the spurs coach and calling it your opinion. Both teams are beating the crap out of each other. The other Spurs can battle without throwing elbows. It’s called tough defense and it’s something that the Knicks and Cavs don’t understand. Detroit plays that way, and Orlando and Miami try to.
I don’t like suspensions in general and I didnt want wimpy (wemby has alot of different physical reactions though defense, elbows to the neck are a new twist to his usual flopping act) suspended because the complaining and whining by the spurs would have reached unbearable levels, and the Twolves already benefitted from his misbehavior for one game.
But at the same time, it was a dirty play. Towns, AD, Jokic, Allen don’t throw elbows, but Embiid and now Wimpy do.
Hmm, didn’t see the Spurs coach’s take, so I guess we agree. Whatever you say, sunshine
Of course it was dirty. Who said otherwise?
I’m just tired of the conspiracy talk when anything goes wrong for 90% of all sports fans.
We’ll see in the ECF how the tough defense plays out.
I agree with you about the conspiracy/league is against you excuses. It’s getting excessive. When Finch complained about 4 missed goaltending calls in game 1, I took the time to look at them and I thought there was one missed call, maybe a foul on another, but that’s it. Much ado about nothing. Maybe that’s why the SA coach said what he said. Got to keep up with the opposing coach.
I like that the bottom 3 are penalized. Provide an incentive to not be one of the bottom 3

The NBA has disclosed to its 30 GMs a singular new anti-tanking reform that expands the draft lottery to 16 teams, flattens odds, and have a relegation zone where the bottom 3 teams are penalized with fewer lottery balls for the No. 1 pick.
The coach positioning war is a huge part of the game. Carlisle was a master over the previous couple of seasons at getting the most out of his pressers. I wish I had more time to analyze the games and the games within games, because the league is entertaining on and off the court - especially when your team is playing as well as mine is.
The Knicks really stepped up their connectedness and ball movement vrs a talented Sixers squad. You are justifiably optimistic. Just be ready for the intensity of the Spurs/OKC squads if you make it to the finals. The game turns into a survival contest. They play like they want to steal your soul and you need to match that level of non-violent bullying every game.
I know you play them in the regular season, but playoff versions are even more frenzied.
I underestimated the Spurs. Thought Ant would take over and show he was the best scorer in the series. Spurs are looking like Juggernaut B to Thunder’s A.
It’s crazy how each team could trade all-NBA level talents like Fox/J Williams and likely not miss a beat next season.
Ridiculousness raised to the ultimate level. Anthony Edwards goes down and congratulates the Spurs with EIGHT MINUTES left in the game.

I'm not sure the Spurs are going to take over. The Thunder with their two picks in the top 17 this year don't seem to be doing anything other than still improving themselves. Will be a tough hill for these Spurs to ever climb.
First quarter of this WCF was lit. Very evenly matched teams.
This is the finals
Game 1 WCF. Double OT. Wemby takes over the game. SGA did not play wel. Caruso was easily OKC ‘s best player.
Which is why, in the end, I think OKC still wins this series. It took an all-time great game from Wemby and a meh game from SGA just to barely win in 2OT. Wemby and the Spurs are for real tho. Like these 2 teams are going to battle it out over the next 5-7 years.
Why did the Knicks get a 4 point play with about 2 minutes left? Lol
Oh I am not blaming the officials for that L, at all.
However, that call was just stupid as hell. Did they call a lane violation? If you are being honest, you would admit the Cavs likely win if that isn't called. Cavs rebounded the ball and then the officials were like "oh nah, lets give the Knicks another chance here"
There were a few dozen coin flips that had to go their way for the Knicks to win that game, and they all went their way.
In hindsight, that game is on Atkinson. He didn’t make adjustments and left 2 timeouts in his pocket, which makes zero sense if you re-watch the tape. They did a nice job in 3/4 of the game especially in defending the control tower KAT offense, getting offensive rebounds and making the Knicks pay for having the worst defender on the floor (Brunson).
Some of those shots by Brunson, and the Shamet/Bridges shots, you just have to shake your head at. The JB floaters are insane. Impossible to defend.
I truly don't understand what I saw with the coaching last night. If anyone sees an explanation from Atkinson link it here please, I'd love to read it.
This is OKC doing what they do.

The OKC obituaries were grossly premature.
Grossly? It was a must win game at home. They did the minimum vs a team down Harper and Fox.
The punk Vassel should have been tossed. Castle is always flopping.

I can't stand the Spurs.
