They keep finding ways to win.
That's good.
They need to find ways to win.
That's not as good.
Still, the results are fantastic.
Francona didn't do much most of last year to impress me. That was until the strong finish by the team to make the playoffs and the strong start so far this year.
Very pleased with Tito

The Cincinnati Reds (13-8 .619), the are off to their best start after 21 games since 2006 when they opened the year 14-7 (.667).
They are alone in first place in the National League Central for the first time since entering their August 3, 2023 game at the Cubs.
Time Travel Predictions: You have been shot backwards in time New Year's Day in 2026. You are handed a note and told to read the contents. The note states that Hunter Greene and Nick Lodolo will begin the season on the IL and miss AT LEAST a month. The note further states that the Andrew Abbott and Brady Singer would be carrying ERAs well over five. It goes on to state that on the morning of 4/20 (smoke 'em if you got 'em), Reds hitters will have combined to produce the lowest OPS in all of baseball. You are then asked to make a prediction as to what their won/loss record will be after 22 games.
Looking far ahead
It happens when giddy over this start

As of April 20, 2026 - The team is officially ranked dead last in AVG, SLG, and OPS.
Baseball's a funny game. Just last week the Twins scored 13 runs in a game started by Garrett Crochet. They touched him up for 11 of those runs in less than 2 innings

Sal Stewart is hitting like he's the white Kevin Mitchell from 1994
Convince me otherwise
It feels the Reds would really take off if one of the prospects could make a Sal Stewart type jump this season. I don't mean putting up Stewart's production, but someone to push for playing time from the minors and show they can be at least league average. I thought that might be Cam Collier, but he still looks a couple years away. Maybe Rodriguez or Arroyo.
Worst bb/k rate in the bigs? Reds.
Crazy they are 14-8 with that + so many starters sub .600 OpS
