In fairness to Ondrusek, he does not deserve all the blame here. Ondrusek didn't throw the ball to 2B and Ondrusek didn't make a dismal throw to 3B.
Tough crowd here tonight.
Re: 7/25/12 Reds @ Astros
We stole one yesterday, now we're giving one back, barring another miracle.
Re: 7/25/12 Reds @ Astros
This pitching staff has no room for error, even against the Astros.

Because Daugherty blew some smoke? Let's not act like we know what was offered.

While you are right, Marshall was warmed up, so usage clearly wasn't an issue. Had he not been warming up, your point may have been more valid, but since he was warming up, Dusty had no issues using him.

He blew the lead. He's not responsible for the third run, but he blew the lead throwing cookies to a AAA team.

One of the national guys just reported it today too. It's not just Daugherty that mentioned it.
Re: 7/25/12 Reds @ Astros
Codero won't blow two in a row, but all we need is a run. Maybe we can do that.

A tie is much better than giving up the lead run.
Re: 7/25/12 Reds @ Astros
I don't get the error on Ludwick. He was at the track and threw it in, seemed like the IF was out of position.

It's not Logan's fault. He is who he is. He should be put in a position to succeed. That position is the 6th inning. In no way should he pitch in the 8th inning in a two run game, or when he starts lighting himself on fire and makes it a one run game.

Doug, I am fairly certain Marshall was warming to pitch the ninth so they could rest Chapman.
It's that Dusty didn't want to use Marshall until the 9th if he didn't absolutely have to.
