Full article on the Athletic Site.
That's an absolutely insane package for one year of a guy who's never thrown more than 120 innings and is due 25 million next year. Does Bowden think we're trading for 1999 Pedro Martinez? I might move either Lodolo or Collier for Glasnow but not both, and I wouldn't trade either Ashcraft or Phillips straight up for him.
BTV has Ashcraft, Phillips, and Collier as a pretty big over pay for both Glasnow and Arozarena.

Just throwing some names out (for fun) that I don't see often.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. - He's a guy with some pop who also contributes on defense. Shouldn't cost a lot, and could cover a lot of starts in LF and bump one of Fraley or Benson to a heavily used 4th OF role.
Lucas Giolito - He's been mediocre for a while, but it could be worth taking a chance with him on a pillow contract.
Jack Flaherty - Another pillow contract candidate.
Kevin Kiermaier - Off-the-wall idea, but Kiermaier could really solidify the defense and just it at the bottom of the order. Move Freidl to left and keep Fraley in RF, and suddenly the OF defense is good or better.
Frankie Montas - Could be interesting if healthy.
Joey Votto - Depth LHH option...don't make fun :)

I love me some Jim Bowden. Not because he's a great baseball mind, but because he gives me hope. If that guy can land multiple MLB GM roles in his career what's my excuse?

Well, you already got one GM job with the Reds, but you blew it when you traded Kearns and Lopez ;)

India and Richardson would be my offer (and I'm not thrilled about dealing Richardson). The Salary relief TB is after is a large part of the return for them. If they want more, then it needs to be a bigger deal.
I think you’re closer than leatherpants but still too short of what it would take. I think it’s gotta be India and then probably collier or arroyo. The rays aren’t gonna give him away.

Good names. I like Flaherty and Votto the best of that list (everything depends on price of course), but I'd probably move Gurriel up my list. Not sure he'd settle for a platoon role, but acquiring him may make a deal centered around somebody like Benson more doable. Seems like a LF/DH only type at this point and he may be kind of pricey.
Re: Reds Trade And Free Agent Rumours 2023-24 Offseason
Not a Reds rumor, but MLB TR is saying that Cleveland is open to trading Clase. Something for he and Bieber would be pretty nice. Stabilizes rotation. Stabilizes back of the pen. Still allows for more money to be spent if you still wanted to add another reliever.

I'd do India and Collier, if that gets it done, go for it. I thought they wanted a ready or near ready starter in a deal. I may be mistaken, because I don't really know why I thought that. I'd actually rather deal Collier than Richardson. I'd rather keep the pitching depth.
I don't really want to deal Arroyo. I think it's going to become obvious at some point that EDLC should be in CF and not SS. I think Arroyo is the long-term SS for this team and I think EDLC will be an offensive and defensive star in CF.

What can I say....I thought Bill Bray was that guy!
Krivsky is one of my favorite baseball people and he's the odd person that I can't miss it if I see an interview with the guy. I love his approach and loved so many moves he made for the Reds, but he also turns around and gets fleeced by Jim Bowden of all people to destroy a possible playoff run.
