Heard of this site on 700 and thought I would check it out. Ive been a lifelong Reds Fan and am old enough to remember The Big Red Machine {barely lol}:beerme:

I've been to both of these games so far, and I always take my headset so Marty and Steve can explain to me what I just saw, because a Hall of Famer's explanation always make things clearer:rolleyes: . Hi all,
Long time lurker, first (almost) time poster...
You can kind of tell the story from the user name. I grew up and went to college in the more urbane regions of Butler and Warren Counties. (Folks at Miami were almost impressed that I used to live in Millville, since they knew it as the town on the way to Cincy that had the Vend-a-Bait machine!)
Moved to Chicago after school, and have been there (pretty much) ever since. Like many of you, I'm a big Reds, Bengals, Buckeyes, etc. fan, and I try to keep the faith from afar. It's a little hard with the sanctimonious Cubs fans and the low-class Sox fans, but years like this help. And thank God for the Internet and XM Radio!
The knowledge level on this site is fantastic, by the way, and I usually learn something here every day. (By the way, I'm not on there tonight, but the Chat feature during games is a lot of fun - and I kind of like the real-time aspect of it more than the game threads. Highly recommended....)
I need to get back to the game, but I just wanted to finally say hi, and hopefully I'll take the time to post a little more in the future.

Hello fellow Reds fans. I am a lifer. As long as I can remember baseball I have been a Reds fan the first little league team I played on was the West Jefferson Reds.
I grew up watching
the Reds on an affiliate station out of Winston Salem NC. They still clam part of WS as blackout territory and late at night I could pickup WLW on my transistor radio. Rose,Bench,Concepion,Foster,Prez they were all my hero's. I love them as much today as I did then.
This season is the most fun I have had watching baseball in a long time thanks to Mr. Catellini and Wayne. Atleast they are trying to make the season meaningful for the Red's nation.
And Pete belongs in the hall.
