That’s always been on the table for me. I have to think he’ll win his arb case if he doesn’t settle. That’s 32 million more for payroll.
That said, I’m not a fair of Tigers rotation aside from Skubal and Valdez. They really should keep both if serious about competing.
Re: MLB 2026 News & Discussion
Former Ciincinnati Reds outfielder Jacob Hurtubise signed a minor league deal with the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday.

Normally I would say yes. The 2027 strike makes me think they’re gonna take a run at a pennant and let Skubal walk.
That’s what I would hope for as a Detroit fan anyway. Servo could give that perspective.

I kinda like it.

I guess we can stop discussing Andujar.
Once Reds signed Suarez that wasn’t happening.

This would not surprise me one bit. The ol' "Devil's Magic" has left the Cardinals and headed to the Brew Crew as of late.
Re: MLB 2026 News & Discussion
Regarding Skubal, I read that his Arb hearing was yesterday and will be announced sometime today.

Tigers majorly lowballed their number. I bet he could have got 35 up against their 19.
Re: MLB 2026 News & Discussion
The crazy thing about Skubal is the Tommy John seemingly turned him into a superhero. Look at all his numbers and velo before and after it’s crazy.
After 2 near 200 IP seasons in a row I have him flagged as a major injury risk however. His velo has soared up each year. He sat 94 on his fastball pre surgery for years. Now he’s 97.6.
