They're clearly feeling it.

Which is why I’m glad I donated to the billboard campaign, regardless or any controversy about advertising for a podcast.
You know good and well that embarrassed Big Bob. Best $20 I’ve spent in a long long time.
Re: Phil Castellini surprised that Opening Day tickets still unsold
Remember all those debates we had on here about how Bob was the only one in the franchise that truly wanted to win but was deposed in a coup by The Williams’ who installed their own son Dick as a puppet to run their evil regime?
I mean… this has to put that to bed once and for all, right?
Dick Williams was never the problem and was, in fact, the only saving grace this franchise had in the post-Jocketty era. It’s become increasingly clear why resigned. He knew “aligning resources” was coming down the pipe and knew he’d get blamed for it even though Bob is the one meddling in operations and forcing them to make certain decisions against the best interest of the team.
The Castellini family is, and always has been, the problem.

Yeah, as soon as Dick resigned, I got a funny feeling.

I think he must’ve had a moment where he was just like “Why am I continuing to be a lightning rod for the Castellini’s” and decided he didn’t need all the stress.
I mean, when you’ve got a cushy job waiting for you at your wealthy family’s business, why keep beating your head against a wall trying to talk some level of sanity into someone like Bob Castellini or his trust fund kid?
Re: Phil Castellini surprised that Opening Day tickets still unsold
I guess Phil C went on Cunningham’s show and had a third “clarification”, don’t know if it was as bonkers as the second yet

Really makes you wonder if it actually was the Williams faction who put their foot down after 2018 and said “okay we’re losing fans, we gotta do something about this.”
Either way - hiliarious stuff

If the choice is, either milk the franchise, or leave town, I hope they leave town. GABP could be repurposed in all kinds of cool ways.
It's an empty threat anyway. These grifters aren't going anywhere...

Yea I mean, they buckle under the slightest bit of pressure from the already impotent Cincinnati news media. Imagine them trying to face a town with an actual sports media?
Bob Castellini literally had Hal McCoy fired over very pedestrian criticism until Hal kissed the ring. Just an awful, awful ownership family.
Re: Phil Castellini surprised that Opening Day tickets still unsold
So what city do the Reds need to be in, for there to be no more excuses?
Nashville? Would that be enough to stop the grifting?
What an ass.
Re: Phil Castellini surprised that Opening Day tickets still unsold
Business guys ain't like they used to be. When Crosley was temped to move the Reds to NYC he kept it under his hat and twisted some favors from the City.

Better but still out of touch...
Summary: We're not selling, we're not moving, you can hate on me all you want but you need to support the players *followed by incoherent yelling to rile up the crowd*
Re: Phil Castellini surprised that Opening Day tickets still unsold
Finally something to cheer about today!
Re: Phil Castellini surprised that Opening Day tickets still unsold
The Castellini family is a bunch of clowns. Better than Lindner, marginally, but that bar is so low that all they did was merely trip over it.
We'll go to at least one game this year as we have a Reds gift card that needs to be spent otherwise it'll expire. Beyond that, I'm not sure if we'll actually spend any of our money on tickets this year. And we're the type of family that the Reds need to go down there and spend money.
