If they draft offensive skill in R1 I think Cincinnatians would riot

Chase Brown rushed for over 1,000 yards last season. Running back isn't really something that would move the needle.
The offense is fine. Even the offensive line isn't even a priority at this point.

They do need a long-term answer at left tackle (or at right tackle if they moved Mims, which I wouldn't), but otherwise, assuming they resign Risner or someone of similar quality, they're pretty set on offense, at least for this year. I'd be somewhat surprised if they didn't take an offensive tackle in the first few rounds who can be the swing tackle this year, is a step up from Cody Ford and with some seasoning is hopefully good enough to start in future years.
Sorta agree that defense makes more sense, but the Bengal's running game is terrible...they were 29th in total yards and 22nd in Y/A.
If they could actually move the ball on the ground, it would help both Burrow and the passing game and help keep the defense off the field.
Everything is so interconnected in football.
They'll probably always be near last in rushing yards because they aren't going to be a volume rushing team with Burrow. I think efficiency stats had them a little higher this year than they have been.
Joe Flacco is now a Pro-Bowler.
Seriously.
At some point, thev”Pro,Bowl Games” just need to be put out of their misery.
I always think back to the Woody Hayes/Darrell Royal quote.
"Three things happen when you pass the ball and two of them are bad"
It would be beneficial for a bell cow running back which Love would be but as mentioned:
1. There are more pressing needs.
2. He will probably be gone to either the Chiefs or my mock draft pick the Commanders.

3. A RB's productivity is heavily tied to the offensive line, offensive scheme and passing game threats. See Ashton Jeanty this past year for a good example of this. As a result, given the position, draft capital and that they have Chase Brown (who was a fifth round pick) at least for one more year, I'm likely out on a top ten running back unless I'm convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt I'm getting the next Bijan Robinson.
If you want an idea for the mid rounds, look up Loves teammates Jadarian Price.
Would be a compliment to Chase Brown and more of a home run threat.

I'm really ok going into 2026 with the same RB room entirely.
Styles over Woods possibly helps the team the most!
While I agree with that, I think the much more pressing need is defensive playmakers, therefore I would wait to get a running back in the later rounds. While I understand there aren’t many Barry Sanders or Derrick Henry’s around, I’m of the belief that most RB’s will look great if they have a good offensive line. Emmet Smith comes to mind. Not being a cowboys fan, I still loved him for his extreme toughness and durability, but without that cowboys offensive line, he would have probably been just another dude. Like I said, I agree they need some depth at RB, but I wouldn’t waste my early round pics on one, with other glaring needs.
