9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
Here's tonights lineup. None of the new call ups are in there. I have feeling we ain't going to see much of them this month. They are just here in spirit.
1. Billy Hamilton (S) CF
2. Todd Frazier (R) 1B
3. Brandon Phillips (R) 2B
4. Devin Mesoraco (R) C
5. Jay Bruce (L) RF
6. Chris Heisey (R) LF
7. Brayan Pena (S) DH
8. Kristopher Negron (R) 3B
9. Ramon Santiago (S) SS

Completely logical.......NOT!
-
Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
I don't care to see too many of them....though I'm good watching any pitcher that we haven't seen much of opposed to Hoover, LeCure, Ondrusek

Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
Phillips hitting third. Either he had a very successful off day, or somebody isn't watching.

Well I think the logical argument would be that they wan to give the call-ups a day at least to adjust to the surroundings without being thrown into the fire all at once.

You can't not start him it bat him below 4th
Will hurt his feelz
But I'd bat him 7th for a series and then watch him tear it up because his ego is hurting. (Or I'd like to see it tried to see if I'm right lol)

One of my wishes for 2015 is that the Reds' offense is so potent and healthy that Phillips has to hit seventh.

There are zero scenarios outside of him going into Price's office and saying that everyone else is better and it's probably best I bat 7th.
Once you are a Reds proven player.....you never lose any playing time or batting position.

Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
Phillips has good career numbers vs. Norris. Not that that should matter but in Price's mind I'm sure it does.

I have noticed that Price knows when one of his players hits well off of a pitcher....but also feel coaches need to go with their gut some.
-
Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
Phillips is 8 for 47....he is likely due a 2/4 game with production
-
Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
Any news in the weather? CTrent tweeted the tarp was on and it's raining.

Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles

Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
Nobody, but the ump took the rest of the night off...
-
Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
Is this real? Lol
Shin burger
BHam collides with ump in wrong place
Ump gets up before Billy
Ump leaves game
Billy SB #55
Rain Delay
Can't get tarp on and grounds crew guys are completely exhausted.
All in 8 minutes

Welsh needs to lay off the grounds crew....he's going too far
-
Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
No clue why they started....radar clearly shows a sizable storm within 15 miles
It'll be 8:45 I bet before they resume
-
Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
I've seen tarp struggles like this lately. Maybe they could have a couple of ATVs ready to hook up to the edge of the tarp and help pull.

Yeah I heard it, didn't think it was too bad. Opinion I guess!

Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
This early delay can't be good for Norris. To warm up, get a delay, start, throw a few pitches, get a longer delay- all of that can't be good for his odds to last long in this game.
-
Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
Giancarlo Stanton just hit one about a mile.

Not to mention the pulse in his shin

About 3/4 way up that fish thing in CF
Wasn't really in his murder zone but that didn't really stop him

Brewers trail Cubs 4-0, two errors by SS, things not going well for Brew Crew.

Castro looked to blow up his ankle sliding home on Soler's RBI (now batting .550)
I'd guess his season might be over.

Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
Aiming for a 9:20 restart per CTrent
-
Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
Those plays from Datdude were awesome. I don't know if he is the best fielding second baseman ever, but he is the best I can remember!
-
Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
And Welsh starts off by saying "just a great job by the grounds crew" lol

Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
Live by the run and die by the run.
-
Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
Pathetic offensive baseball by the Reds in that half inning. Just awful. Can't get the runner to third. Caught stealing. Pop up by BP.
-
Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
Just typical, Kc. All year.
-
Re: 9/2/2014 Reds at Orioles
Billy shouldn't be running on a muddy field. And Frazier is a terrible situational hitter.

That might've been his worst jump of the year....it was terrible and his judgement to go anyways was just bad.

Yes, just typical of this season. Now Markakis singles to lead off.
