It would stand to reason that if the Amish are more likely to become infected, then the counties where they are most prominent would have higher positivity rates. And they do.
Indiana reported that the state's seven-day positivity rate, which is the seven-day average of the daily rate of COVID-19 tests that are positive, was 7.6% from August 7-13. The rates were higher in both Elkhart and LaGrange counties: 13.1% and 9.4%, respectively.

What, you don’t enjoy watching Rojo get sauced up every night and just go absolutely hog wild in this thread?

If we're going to be honest with each other - I'm not sure I'm enjoying a single thing in life right now.
Re: Covid-19, Part VII - Staying On Topic...
We just cleared the 200,000 deaths mark - https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/. Our overall excess death totals for the year are probably closer to 250,000 (they were over 200K a month ago). Apparently posturing, goofball takes and Facebook memes aren't going to fix it.

I think Covid is real and somewhat dangerous. I just don’t think the breadline route of tackling it is sustainable. We need better answers than “Starve or wait for a vaccine.” We aren’t getting anymore help from Washington. That’s done. So it’s time to carve a way forward.

I love the unashamed drunkenness, not gonna lie.

If the thing that's killed 200,000 in less than six months is only somewhat dangerous, what is actually dangerous?

Austerity, forever war, 55 million without insurance, 30 million unemployed (3.5 million now permanently), millions in the developing world with no vaccines, broken supply chains all over the planet.
Pretty dangerous.

We've established that these things are whataboutism because they don't personally affect M2 (yet!).

That's lame as hell. It's a "dog ate my homework" post. Utterly bereft.

This has been pointed out to you many times, so I doubt this registers, however...
All of those issues and numbers would be far greater if the world didn’t institute the pandemic protocols that you dislike. Without a lockdown, we are talking about 5-10 million dead here in the US, close to 100,000,000 dead world wide.
That would destroy the supply chains, destroy the world and US economy, and throw the world and US into a long depression.

I swear irony is dead. You do realize there's this disease dropping massive numbers of bodies that you're apparently willing to let run wild because you don't think it will affect you.

I lived for years and years without health insurance. Made quite the impact on my mentality. Every day the slightest slip could have resulted in my financial peril. But that was whataboutism, because it affected me, a poor person. But now that something bad can happen to you, it counts. It's real. And they've crippled the country because of it. Everyone else is my problem now, and I'm sick of it.
