There was that one bad game but otherwise he's been all right. Of course he could also be the next Hoover/Jumbo/Wood.
Re: 9/13/17 Reds @ St Louis
Shackleford had a fairly superb season at Louisville this season.

Yeah but that's Louisville. Gonna need to see more than 8 innings before getting any hopes up.

Cardinal defense is silly bad.

Great year in Louisville. Tough start in big leagues. Now 7 consecutive scoreless outings in bigs. Then tonight a very good inning so far.
You can tell that the Reds see some potential. They use him regularly in the sixth inning of potential winning games now.
He has a chance.
Re: 9/13/17 Reds @ St Louis
Error on the throw or on the "catch"? They gave it to Martinez even though the throw was wild. Of course after that call earlier in the game, I was surprised they even gave him an error at all.
Re: 9/13/17 Reds @ St Louis
I want Votto to get his 100 Rs and RBI. Like Hamilton getting the SB title the last couple of years he gets close to doing both but then just seems to slow to a crawl. At least unlike Billy, Joey is not getting hurt. Yes I enjoy seeing a Red with Bold numbers showing they are a league leader or going over 100 in RS and RBI.

Shack mows them down, with help of a DP.
Two good innings, nice outing for him.
Re: 9/13/17 Reds @ St Louis
I feel almost foolish for liking Shakelford's arm. That's what the Reds do to me. Fool me once...
Re: 9/13/17 Reds @ St Louis
Mahle has not given up a HR in four starts.

I'm with you and also would like Duvall to get to 100 RBI's too.

I swear, one of these nights I'm getting a legal pad and writing down all the dead time during a game. Probably not a Reds game cause I'm too invested in it. Probably not a Red Sox game either cause there's only so much paper.
