Really like this line-up vs. a LH starter. Would be good with this as our OD line-up.

Think I might insert Farmer against a lefty. Either at DH or put him at 2b until Moustakas starts raking.

Re: 7/22/20 Reds v. Tigers (Final exhibition game)
I guess Van Meter has replaced Votto.

Moustakas is being paid a lot of money. I don’t think he’s getting benched before game 1.

Single for Ervin, double for VanMeter, then Suarez, Castellanos, and Moustakas do nothing.

Let the L.O.B. hand wringing begin.
Single, double followed by Suarez jamming himself on 2-0 pitch, thenCastanallos swings at two balls then takes strike three before Moose dribbles one first

Bell came out to argue the call at first.
Is he going to get himself thrown out of an exhibition game?

Re: 7/22/20 Reds v. Tigers (Final exhibition game)

Davidson's 4th HR in Spring 2.0. That might seal it if the decision wasn't made already for the final roster spot.

Looks like Winker's platoon partner. Ervin may end up platooning with Shogo at least some of the time. I can't see Shogo sitting against every lhp.

I wonder if the Reds have Akiyama's splits in Japan. I'm guessing they do. I've looked for it online and couldn't find it.

Yeah I am sure they do. But I looked also couldn't find them anywhere. You would think he would be at least average against lhp. But who knows really?

One clue might be that he hasn't missed a game in 5 years in Japan. I would think that means he is at least decent against LHP as u suggest.

Re: 7/22/20 Reds v. Tigers (Final exhibition game)
Each teams last run, both in the 8th, the tying run and the winning run, were scored due to the scoring runner moving up from 1B on miscues by the pitchers(WP by Kuhnel and errant throw from the mound by Castro), which both allowed the run to score from 2B on a single.
