The band members or the gym teacher they named themselves after?

Eleven was kinda cringy this season...ep 7 was kinda wat, total waste of time. But yea, no spoilers...just hate everything about Eleven's role this season.
Steve is still the best character.

Just finished episode 7 of the second season. The entire episode was a waste of time, but specifically that was some of the worst written dialogue I've ever heard.

If you can look past the fact that the hair and wardorbe people missed the late 1970s by about 30 years, Mindhunter is outstanding.

Amazon is going to have a Lord of the Rings TV show. It was just announced so it will probably be a bit before it actually makes it to air, but still pretty exciting.

I didn't like Stranger Things 2.

It had its moments, but I'm not sure it completely worked. I applaud them for not simply repeating the first one, but it suffers from middle-chapter weaknesses.
btw, how is no one mentioning that Kali in the Huh? episode's name is a reference to the Indian Goddess Kali's appearance in Temple of Doom?

You call him "Doctor" Jones, Doll!

Both. He taught at Lee High School in Jax, where my FIL went.....although he was a few years younger than the guys in the band.

Why is this exciting?
We already have a 10 hr version by Peter Jackson that is nearly perfect. I don’t get it.

I saw that, and I wondered what it meant. The Silmarillion? The LOTR characters in the years before?

Re: Official Redszone TV Thread, Part III
The whole LOTR situation is complicated. Christopher Tolkien, 92, just stepped down as the director of the Tolkien estate. That may be connected with the Amazon news or it may not be. Best as I can gather, the rights to the Silmarillion are separate from LOTR. So the Amazon series might not have the rights to do anything prior to the Third Age. That leaves tons of potential stories. The most obvious, IMO, is Aragorn, Legolas, Gandalf, Gollum, Paladin Took, Balin, Dwalin and Dain running around in the 75 years between the Battle of the Five Armies and LOTR.
They could also do the battles in the North that happen simultaneous with and slightly after the LOTR.
